A mum-to-be has taken to Reddit's BabyBumps forum to discuss her upcoming baby shower, and there has been quite the mixed reaction.

Elisbc's baby shower is being organised by her sister-in-law who she has a close bond with, and she is quite chuffed that her SIL has taken the responsibility.

But without wanting to sound ungrateful, the mum-to-be has a couple of concerns for her tame, family day.

The pair spoke about the impending arrival's big day, but her sister-in-law's plans seemed slightly out of sync with the regular celebrations...

"Some of the things she suggested seem totally inappropriate and over the top."

"She is making a corn hole set that is painted like a vagina and bean bags that look like sperm. She mentioned something that had to do with condoms, but I'm not entirely sure what the premise of that game is. She wants to have a contest where people chug beer out of bottles."

SIL is planning a pretty raunchy baby shower, and I'm scared from BabyBumps

Mum-to-be explains she had thought the celebrations would be a chill event, with cake and families, however, the event has now turned into a bachelorette-style party.

"I like to think that I'm not a prude, but I'm a little uncomfortable with the 'theme' of my baby shower being sex and alcohol. There's going to be a lot of kids around too. It just seems weird to me."

Elis poses a question to the forum, asking if she's being OTT, and is this the way modern baby showers work... but the forum has been quite divided on opinion.

What do you think? Is this something you'd prefer for your baby shower or would you rather something a little more calm and kid friendly?
