Jenn Aguilar of Calgary has always enjoyed popping sweet notes into her sons' lunchboxes.
But when she realised that they often got lost in transit, or that her boys didn’t bother reading them, she decided to get creative.
“I wanted to do something for them that was impactful,” she told Buzzfeed Canada.
And that she did!
Since September, Jenn has been placing adorable, pun-tastic drawings into the lunchboxes of both Kale (14) and Konnor (12).
“This is my love language to my boys and it shows that they are special and they mean a lot to me every time they look at it,” she said.
Her boys are big hip-hop fans so she tries to incorporate that into her gags.
“The boys realised that hip-hop today isn’t what it was and have reverted to the 90s hip-hop I used to listen to, so it’s our bonding thing.”
Take a look at her drawings. You’ll laugh and cringe at the same time!
