Two girls inside one body. Hunted by society.

Once We Were is the second book in Kat Zhang’s heart-stopping Hybrid Trilogy and follows the lives of two girls, Eva and Abbie, trapped inside one body.

If you were a fan of What's Left of Me, the first in the series, you certainly won't be disappointed in the second book!

The story follows the character of Eva, who should not be alive, and her sister soul Addie, as they become a fugitive hybrid on the run from the government. Joining an underground resistance movement, the girls are drawn deeper into escalating violence.

Meanwhile, Eva is falling further for fellow fugitive Ryan but clashing with Addie over their shared body. Faced with incredible danger, will Eva and Addie be torn apart forever? You’ll have to read the book to find out!

Kat Zhang, who was born in Texas but grew up in Connecticut, Tennessee, China and Georgia, has been writing in some form or another since elementary school. She studies creative writing at Vanderbilt University and divides her free time between performing spoken word poetry, writing and raiding her local bookshop.

Published by HarperCollins, Once We Were is available in both paperback and eBook format.
