Police who are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a teenage girl have issued a further appeal to the public for help in tracing her.

Emily Besant, who was last seen boarding a train to London at approximately 2.40pm on Saturday March 19th, has not been seen or heard from since.

The 15-year-old, who was wearing a black and grey Adidas jumper and dark blue jeans, was captured on CCTV footage at East Worthing train Station in West Sussex more than a week ago.

Emily, who is described as white, five foot in height and of small build, has long, straight dyed-purple hair and was carrying a red and orange bag when last seen.

Police have informed the public that Emily, who has both her lip and belly button pierced, has links to West Sussex towns of Arundel and Crawley in addition to the East Sussex town of Brighton.

Commenting on the case, Inspector Roy Hodder said: "We are concerned for Emily because of her age, although she has been living near Arundel she has links to Brighton and Crawley and maybe in the south London area."

Please contact authorities if you have any information pertaining to the case.
