Police in the UK have released CCTV camera stills of a suspect claimed to have sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl in a Gregg’s bakery in England.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday, February 12 at around 3:30pm, in the Headrow branch of the chain, in Leeds City Centre.

It is claimed that the eight-year-old little girl was waiting in the store with her little brother, while her mother paid for some items at the cash register, when the shocking attack occurred.

The man is described as Asian and in his late 30s. He is said to be tall and of large build, with a shaved head and beard.

Appealing to the public for their assistance with the investigation, a police spokesman said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the young girl involved and her mother, and we urgently need to speak to the man shown in the CCTV images.”

“We would ask anyone who recognises him or who has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately,” he added.
