Eight months pregnant Yvonne Lin didn't expect to get a seat on the crowded New York subway.

After all, it was her second pregnancy and so far no man had ever offered her their seat throughout both her pregnancies.

But, to the designer's delight, a gentleman named Ricky Barksdale was kind enough to give up his seat.

As Yvonne had never been offered a seat before, she'd had a trophy made for the first guy who would give her a seat.

The trophy features a Hulk-style statue ripping his clothes with the words “#1 DECENT DUDE, First Man to Offer Subway Seat to Pregnant Woman throughout Two Pregnancies” on it.

She was carrying it with her when Ricky gave up his seat and gave it to him as a thank-you for his kind gesture.

Yvonne says she has a two hour commute everyday and while she got seats "fairly often" from women, she'd never had a man offer her a seat before.

During her first pregnancy, she'd made a Papyrus card saying "congratulations" for any guy who offered her a seat but never had a chance to give it out.

She decided to get the trophy on a whim, to reward any guy who was kind enough to give her a seat.

Yvonne said she'd "came to the conclusion that men suck" until she met Ricky.

Ricky, who's a dad of two himself, thought it was a joke at first, but realised Yvonne was serious when he read the trophy's engraving.

“It was a nice gesture of her, but it’s also sad for my male counterparts to allow something like this to happen,” he told  HuffPost.

He added, “If you clearly see a visibly pregnant woman, you’re okay to stand up. She needs that more than you.”
