Olympic gold medal winner, Rebecca Adlington has spoken out about her post-baby body.

Speaking to The Mirror, Rebecca compared her belly to a "kangaroo pouch".

"I still have my kangaroo pouch on my tummy," she said to the paper.

"I don't know if I'll ever lose it but to be honest I don't mind and I'm not precious. I think it just shows that I have had a healthy babe.

"I definitely haven't got my body back since pregnancy. But I just want to be a fit, healthy and active hands-on mum who takes my daughter swimming."

Rebecca, who welcomed her first child, Summer, last June, also told the mag about separating health from weight loss.

"I like to cook simple but healthy meals but that's got nothing to do with wanting to lose the weight.

"The first few months after having Summer were such a blur, all I could think about was her.

"All of sudden, when we started getting a bit more normality and routine back, the weight naturally started coming off."
