This chapatti flat bread recipe is very easy to make. You can use it as a replacement for a wrap in lunches or makes a great bread for dips.
100 wholemeal flour
Salt
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp water
In a bowl, sift the flour and a pinch of salt together.
Mix in the olive oil and water until it forms a dough. Knead until smooth and elastic. This will take about 8-10 minutes.
Divide dough into even balls. Use a rolling pin along with a dusting of flour if needed, to roll out as flat as possible.
Heat a heavy based frying pan over a medium heat. You do not need to add any oil or butter.
Fry the dough disks for 1 minute each side.
Serve when you wish or wrap into individual portions for the kid’s lunchboxes.
