Ghost meringues

Scary ghost meringues which are perfect for Halloween.
180g caster sugar
4 egg whites
½ tsp cream of tartar
Preheat oven to 110°C/225°F/Gas ¼.
Line a baking tray with a sheet of baking paper.
Place egg whites into a clean, dry bowl and beat with a hand whisk.
Add caster sugar and cream of tartar and continue whisking until stiff peaks are formed.
Spoon the mixture into a piping bag with a round nozzle and pipe ghost like dollops onto the baking tray.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes.
Once they have cooled completely use some black decorating gel to paint a face on each meringue.
