These adorable biscuits are light and buttery and perfect for Valentine's day!
250g caster sugar
200g unsalted butter
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
300g cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Icing glaze
450g icing sugar, sifted
2 tbsp glucose syrup
2 tbsp milk
Food colouring of your choice (pink, red and white work especially)

font-family:Arial;color:#343435">Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar together in a bowl until the texture is light and fluffy.

font-family:Arial;color:#343435">Add in an egg and vanilla extract and beat. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Combine ingredients together.

font-family:Arial;color:#343435">Divide dough mixture in half and roll into balls. Flatten them to resemble disks and cover in cling film. Place in the fridge to chill for an hour.
