Soda bread with oats

Lovely traditional Irish loaf which includes the goodness of wholemeal flour and oats.
250g plain flour
250g wholemeal flour
100g porridge oats
1 tsp salt
25g butter, cut into cubes
500ml buttermilk
Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6.
Dust a baking tray with a little flour.
Mix the flour, porridge oats, bicarbonate soda and salt together.
Rub in the cubed butter with your fingertips. Pour over the buttermilk and bring the dough together.
Shape into a flat round, place on the baking sheet and score a deep cross on the top.
Bake for 30 minutes until the bottom of the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
