The star, who welcomed a daughter with wife Blake Lively, has given an insight into life with their new bundle of joy, describing it as “challenging”.
In an interview with Extra, the 38-year-old said: “You are operating on a week’s worth of sleep amortised over six months. You don’t get a lot of sleep. I don’t sleep very much. It’s great. It’s wonderful. But my brain is elsewhere.”

Ever the joker (he previously said he had attempted breastfeeding), the Green Lantern star added: “I had to go to Sundance [Film Festival] this last week. I was more excited to get a good night’s sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me.”
Ryan and Blake welcomed their first child in January, with reports initially claiming that they had named her Violet. However, Ryan also set the record straight to confirm that that is not her name.
It looks like we’ll have to wait another while to find out what they actually did name her, as he went on to tell USA Today: “I don’t want to get into that but I don’t know where that [Violet] came from.”
It certainly sounds like they have their hands full!
