A little boy has shown his school crush Millie he means business – by proposing to her with an ACTUAL diamond ring.
When Millie came home, she declared to her parents that she had been proposed to (well who else is going to pay for the wedding?) But when it came to light just where a boy of that age had got his hands on a real diamond ring, her parents cracked up.
“Tommy proposed to Millie and she keeps telling us she’s got a ring in her bag, and like anyone we was expecting the Haribo ring,” her dad said in the video posted on the Lad Bible Facebook page.
“Tommy has stolen his mother’s engagement ring. Three enormous diamonds. And proposed to Millie!”
While we don’t think Tommy’s mum is going to be too impressed, we have to admire his determination to secure the heart of the one he loves!
And of course the comments section didn’t let us down.
“God help us lads if our girlfriends see this, ‘Oh an 8 year old gets a ring and I can't??’” said one funnyman.
And his theory proved right, if one disgruntled woman’s comment is anything to go by: “This s**t’s getting out of hand. How come this little girl has got a proposal with them rocks and I'm still picking up boxers out the bathroom with no bands on my fingers??????”
While another commenter just made us all melt: “I had a boy give me his mother's wedding ring in the first grade,” she wrote. “I was so upset when my mom made me give it back. 14 years later he bought me an engagement ring, my mom let me keep this one. We have now been married for 20 years.”
