Tragedy struck in a swimming pool in Norfolk this weekend as a seven year old girl was found unconscious in the water.
The girl was found in the pool around lunchtime and was then rushed to hospital where she died four hours later.
A Norfolk Constabulary spokesman said:
"Officers were called by ambulance staff at 12pm to Waveney River Centre near Beccles, following reports a seven-year-old child had been found unconscious in a swimming pool."
"The girl was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth but sadly died at around 4pm."
