Severe weather warnings have been issued for the entire UK, with the dreaded Storm Barbara making her presence known this morning.
The Met Office has assigned Amber and Yellow warnings throughout the country, with high winds and rain expected to batter Britain over the coming days.
The worst affected areas will be Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and South-West and North England.

The latest update on the Met Office's official Twitter feed warns: “Storm Barbara brings severe gales, especially to the North.”
“Stay safe, stay dry,” a further tweet urged.
A rep added that Storm Barbara may also cause 'disruption to power supplies' and even 'structural damage'.

Those travelling home for the holidays have been urged to take extra care when travelling, with high winds and heavy rainfalls set to make driving conditions difficult throughout the country.
