Aw bless!

A mum who wants to give her brave daughter the best birthday ever is asking strangers to post her a birthday card, reports The Mirror.

Four-year old Tillie Mae Aird, from Liverpool, has been through a lot. After she developed a form of kidney cancer called Wilms’ tumour, the courageous little girl has undergone surgery to remove her kidney and an eight-day course of radiotherapy, as well as weekly chemotherapy sessions.

And although she is currently undergoing gruelling treatment each week, according to her mum Rachel she can’t wait for her birthday party, which is taking place in a local play centre this month.

“We want to make Tillie’s fifth birthday extra special by making lots of positive memories, from a very tough time in her life,” her mum told The Mirror.

“We also hope that sharing Tillie’s story with people that don’t know us, can help bring awareness of kidney cancers, particular Wilms tumours, and how it’s not just a case of removing the kidney / tumour and getting on with your life, it’s a long journey to recovery.

“Tillie has gone through more than any four-year old should, and something as simple as a birthday card would make her feel so special.”

What a lovely idea! We can only imagine this little girl’s face when she’s surprised with hundreds of birthday cards from people all over the world!

To send a card to Tillie all the way from beautiful Ireland, post it to: Tillie Mae Aird, Bubbles’ World of Play, Marine Point, Kings Parade, New Brighton, CH45 2PB.
