Music streaming service Spotify has created a birthing playlist due to popular demand, much to the delight of those approaching their due date.
The playlist, which features the likes of Coldplay’s Don’t Panic and Muse’s Starlight, evolves in pace and intensity to coincide with the advancing stages of labour.
The playlist was created by Dr Moritz, who told the Daily Mail that he wanted it to “mirror” the mother’s experience by starting off slow before moving into something with a stronger beat.

Explaining his reasons behind it, Dr Moritz said: "Music strongly influences our central nervous system's limbic system which manages our memories, emotions, and how we deal with fear and pain. It makes sense that women would turn to music during childbirth as a source of comfort and strength."
