Well, the little boy behind the famous image, Sam Grimer, is back on our newsfeeds this week, but for a very different reason.
Now eight years old, Sam and his family have launched a fundraising page for his father Justin, who is in need of lifesaving treatment.
Justin, 39, has been on dialysis for the past six years due to kidney failure, and the Grimer family need to raise $50,000 to be able to afford a transplant and treatment.
The message on the fundraising page is accompanied by a picture of Justin and Sam, and reads: “Please help us reach our goal so that Justin may get the pre-treatments and transplant he desperately needs. His mother died from this disease, please help us write a different story for Justin and his son, Sam.”
“Thank you for your consideration and for any help you can provide to help our family reach this goal,” they added.
We truly hope Justin is able to get the treatment he needs.
