Tamzyn Rollinson buried her stillborn baby in a blanket that her little one spent most of her short life in.

But after the burial, she realised that she wished she still had the blanket, so she decided to buy a replica. Tamzyn went to her local Tesco, where her mum had picked up the original, but was told it was out of stock.

Through the supermarket’s messenger service, Tamzyn told the staff, who went to great lengths to replace the blanket that meant so much to her.

Just a day later, they arrived not only with the right blanket, but a bunch of flowers and a sympathy card too!

Needless to say, Tamzyn was overwhelmed by their kindness and wrote the staff an open letter.

“I really wanted to get hold of this certain blanket as my little girl was stillborn nearly 3 weeks ago and this is the same blanket I wrapped her in when she was born so I wanted one for myself to go in her memory box,” wrote Tamzyn, who has two more daughters, Lacie (10) and Frankie (8).

“Tesco employees managed to track one down for me this morning and the lovely staff at the Shoreham by sea branch went out of their way to hand deliver me not only the beautiful blanket but a gorgeous bunch of flowers and a card too."

"It was such a kind thing for you to do and I thank you all so much xx.”
