Police in Oxford have launched an investigation following the abduction and ‘serious sexual assault’ of a teenage girl, yesterday morning.
According to reports, the girl was walking to school at around 8:25am on Wednesday, when she was grabbed by two men and bundled into a silver car.
She was walking near Marston Ferry Road and Banbury Road at the time she was taken.
She was then reportedly subjected to a ‘serious’ sexual assault, and was found three hours later – about a mile from where she was abducted – knocking on doors, looking for help.
The Thames Valley Police are now investigating the shocking incident, and issued the following warning to locals.
“I would ask parents to consider the safety of their children, and if they are walking to school make sure they try to keep in groups. I would also ask people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious,” a rep said.
They went on to appeal to any potential witnesses to come forward with information that could help with the investigation.
