This family are looking to track down them mysterious author of a note their son found beneath the floor boards in their home in Coventry.
Six year old Teddy found the message written “to the future” which seems to be written by another young boy called Eliot.
Teddy and his family have lived in the house since 2003 and mum, Emma, thinks the author to now be in their 40s or even 50s.
The then 12 year old had a lovely gift to share alongside his message.
The note reads:
“Dear future people, I am Eliot, I am 12. I used to live here. This was my room. I have left you a gift! It’s a magnet! Hope you like my old home! (Use the magnet for special purposes only) Bye!!”
Emma has now contacted the previous owners who lived in the house for 15 years but nothing has come of it so far.
Emma told The Mail:
“I contacted the previous occupants but they didn't have an Eliot in the family. I haven't had a chance to check the title deeds yet to see who lived here before them. Teddy is very excited.
“He just wants to know if he writes to Eliot will he write back.”
Emma spoke about her first reactions when Teddy told her about the note.
Worried about the fact that he had pulled the carpet up firstly, Emma quickly moved on as her curiosity set in.
“The note is at least 28 years old. It would be quite a nice story if we could track him down, somebody must know him.”
