Zosia Katnik is a bit of a nervous flyer, despite being a big fan of sun holidays. Knowing that, her boyfriend Matthew Hodges hatched a plan.
As their EasyJet flight left Luton for Majorca, Matthew decided to distract Zosia from her worries in the most amazing way possible – by asking her to marry him!
But it wasn’t just your standard proposal, for Matthew enlisted the help of the cabin crew who appeared at the right moment holding cards reading ‘Will You Marry Him?’
He even got the captain in on the act, but he just provided a soothing background voice prior to the action.
"The only time she ever feels better is when she hears the captain’s voice and she settles down – so I thought what better way than to ask what I wanted to ask than getting the captain to settle her down first?" Matthew said.
As you can imagine, Zosia was overwhelmed but managed to say ‘yes.’ The couple were treated to free champagne by the airline and will return to Majorca to tie the knot in two years’ time.
