To be fair, we didn't really believe this either at first, but it's true.
Lauren-Paige Smith,19, was recently enjoying her lunch from McDonalds, when she decided to share her chips with a pigeon (kind hearted!)
Anyway, long-story-short, an inspector came over to her and hit her with a fine, for putting the chip on the ground for her feathered friend.
You couldn't make this stuff up.
Lauren decided to ignore her ridiculous fine, and ended up receiving a court summons in the mail, all for feeding that blasted bird.
The letter said that Lauren had "discarded McDonalds fries on the floor", and presented her with a date to appear in court as a result of her offence.
According to kidspot, Lauren's fine has now been raised to £100, and she is due to appear in court this month.
We have contacted the pigeon for a statement, but has remained tight-beaked.
