A wedding guest has expressed her anger after being told where to breastfeed. The mum, who is remaining anonymous, posted a photo to popular Facebook page Breastfeeding Mama Talk.
The post reads:
"This was in the invitation to my husband's best friend’s wedding. My husband is the best man so it will just be me in the crowd. We have had several arguments over "my" breastfeeding ways and they have multiple times voiced that I need to go elsewhere to do that in "private!" I was going to just be nice and let my best girlfriend watch my two kids (ages 2 and 3 months) and she would wet-nurse my youngest (she's still nursing her 2-year-old as well) because we haven't found a bottle my youngest will take yet and wet nursing doesn't bother me. Hubby and I were just gonna make it a date night... But apparently, that wasn't okay either. So, I said would just bring my littlest baby to the wedding then, but no way in hell I will leave and nurse her in the bathroom (no matter how "nice" they make it!) I don't eat in the bathroom I'm not feeding my child in there!... I want to be "nice" as possible but what should I do!? Go ahead and leave her with my friend (who by the way has nursed her multiple times) or take her!? Help!"
The mum was humiliated by the request of the newlyweds and believed it was an extremely insensitive move.
She wasn’t alone as numerous members supported her views. They took to the comment section to share their disbelief and anger over the note.
Many users agreed, with one saying, “This [note] is about being asked to feed the baby in the same place where people poop. That is never ok.”
Another said, “I'd be petty and feed my baby deliberately in front of them, on the other hand, if they personally sent that to me I'd be done with them. Especially if they always make a point that you should do that elsewhere.”
The couple may have meant well by their gesture, but mums believe it was an offensive move and it has caused outrage online.

There are currently 576 comments on the post, the clear majority of them are supportive of the mum and state that what the couple did was wrong.
A mum should not be pushed away from a celebration so she can breastfeed her baby. They deserve the respect and comfort to do it wherever they feel is best.
