Expectant mum Rochelle Humes has been reaching out to fans for advice during her second pregnancy.

The 29-year-old posted an intimate picture of her growing baby bump, but actually had a question for all the mums out there.

“OK, what is this line down my tummy, and does it have a purpose?” read the caption on Rochelle’s Instagram post.

“Or is it a pointless little trail?”

Although Rochelle is already mum to three-year-old daughter Alaia-Mai, her second pregnancy is proving quite different, with the singer asking fans for help.

Okay what is this line down my tummy and does it have a purpose?! Or is it a pointless little trail?

It wasn’t long until Rochelle was flooded with comments from mums who had experienced the same thing during their pregnancies.

“It’s called a linea nigra, and it’s completely normal,” read one comment.

“It happens to about 75 percent of mums. It will fade slowly after birth, but there’s no need to be worried.“

Another fan chimed in: “I had this with both my babies. I still have it now, and my little lady is almost six months old. I don’t want it to fade; every time I look at it, it’s a beautiful reminder of my bump.”
