There’s a heatwave in Virginia at the moment, with temperatures pushing 40 degrees - not far off what we're experiencing.
One little boy was worried about his postman working out in the crazy heat.
So, on one of the hottest days his town has seen, eight-year-old Carmine McDaniel decided to surprise him with a wonderfully useful gift.
Carmine grabbed a cooler box and filled it up with water and Gatorade.
Then he popped it outside his front door and stuck a sweet note on top telling the postman to take as much of it as he liked.
“Mailman: Water & Gatorade in cooler. Have a good day,” he wrote.
"They are really important so people can pay their bills and stuff like that and I didn't want him to pass out pretty much," Carmine told WVEC-TV.
Aww! What a sweetheart.
