British strawberries are the ultimate summer food: strawberries and cream, fresh breakfast smoothies and post-BBQ meringues topped with bright, juicy berries.

So as mums, we’re always on the hunt for flavourful, good-quality fresh produce. Well we’re paying for it, and more importantly, eating it – so why shouldn’t we demand the best we can get?

And Lidl shares that philosophy. Neil Davison, one of their strawberry farmers, picks and packs the fruit on site so he can be sure only the ripest and freshest strawberries make it to stores.

They’re exclusive to Lidl

Scottish strawberry farmer Neil grows and hand picks only the ripest strawberries exclusively for Lidl, so you can be assured of their excellent quality.

They’re sweeter

Lidl’s strawberries grown on Neil's farm in Scotland are sweeter for a ‘berry’ good reason – the cool temperatures and long daylight hours so far up North grow a luscious, sweet fruit.

Their freshness is guaranteed

For Neil, growing and packing the strawberries and getting them to Lidl stores is a race against the clock. They’re picked at their prime ripeness and can be delivered to stores as soon as the next day.

They’re part of a bigger picture in supporting British farmers

Lidl have signed up to the National Farmers Union ‘Fruit and Veg Pledge’ to support British farmers on sustainable farming and ensure fair practices, whilst continuing to provide customers with the highest quality produce possible at the best price.
