There’s something SO powerful about different generations of the same family photographed together, isn’t there? We suppose it puts into perspective the incredible feat of procreation – what the body has created, and how it plays a part in giving love and comfort, and of course seeking it out.
So we were incredibly moved by these raw images of a grandmother, daughter and granddaughter photographed together. All material trappings were cast aside to depict the three generations in their beautiful, natural form.
Captured by talented photographer Jade Beall, we think the photos embody the power of womanhood.
“The beautiful body on the left birthed and fed the beautiful body on the right which birthed and feeds the beautiful little body at her breast,” Jade captioned one of the photos.
“Lucy birthed her daughter on this bed which was her grandmother's.
“Sacred, beautiful life.”
