Anyone who may be feeling a little bit nervous about taking their little one away on a foreign holiday absolutely needs to check out Matt Coyne’s latest post on his now famous Facebook page, Man vs Baby.

Matt, who made headlines recently with his refreshingly honest insight into new fatherhood, has captured the nerves, the judgment, the wonderful ups and the hilarious downs of bringing his son on his very first holiday.

One of the first things that Matt and his wife had to face was the ‘judgey’ reactions from those they told about the holiday. It seems some people were a bit taken aback to hear that the new parents were serious about taking their six-month-old on a foreign holiday in the first place!

After assuring his followers that everything worked out just fine, Matt went on to share a few nuggets of wisdom he learned while ‘holidaying with his tiny human’ – in his signature hilarious style.

“We had a checklist for what to pack, it had just one item on it: everything,” began Matt.

In a more specific suggestion, the doting dad wrote: “Don't take an expensive pram on a flight…The moment you check-in and that pushchair disappears behind that rubber curtain, it is collected by two WWF wrestlers who smash it against a wall for half an hour…before it is transferred to the runway, where they reverse the plane over it a couple of times before placing it in the hold.”

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?!

Of course, Matt and his wife also had to deal with the hassle of being seated next to a woman who was far from impressed to have to put up with a baby during the flight (ring any bells?), but that was nothing in comparison to the ordeal of trying to keep little Charlie in check on the beach!

“Sandy beaches are a bad idea. A six-month-old baby puts everything in reaching distance in their mouth so, in hindsight, sitting them down to play on four acres of powdered glass is a bit dim,” he joked.

You will be glad to hear, however, that it all worked out all right in the end: “For all its pi**y little challenges, to spend time together, away from our newly destroyed home, was incredibly special.”

So, how many of Matt’s experiences can YOU tick off the list?
