They may be multi-millionaires, but it seems an appreciation of money and privilege is already at the core of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s parenting plan.
Mila, who is currently on the promotional trail for new movie Bad Moms, has revealed that she plans to teach her kids that they are ‘poor’ in order to ensure that they don’t develop a sense of entitlement from their wealthy parents.
The 32-year-old, who is pregnant with baby number two, shared the insight during an interview on Australian radio.
Speaking to presenters Kyle and Jackie Henderson, Mila said she would be instilling an idea that “mommy and daddy may have a dollar, but you’re poor”.
Revealing that she and her husband previously agreed they would ‘raise a child not to be an a*****e’, Mila added: “We both came from pretty solid poverty backgrounds and grew up very poor. Nothing’s been handed to us.”
And Mila admitted that while it’s ‘beautiful’ to be in a position to provide for their children, she is eager for them to grow up learning to appreciate things.
Ashton and Mila are parents to daughter Wyatt, who is almost two.
