Congratulations are in order for The One Show host Alex Jones who has today announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Charlie Thompson.
Taking to Instagram to share her happy news, the 39-year-old uploaded a picture of a T-shirt with 'coming soon' written across it.
Clearly delighted to be able to share her news, Alex wrote: "Charlie and I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a little baby in the new year. Absolutely delighted and feel very lucky that we're about to become parents."
She also shared the news on Twitter, where she was inundated with congratulation tweets.

The news comes mere months after the presenter revealed she was worried she may have left it too late to start a family, admitting she had been feeling mounting pressure ever since tying the knot on New Year’s Eve.
Alex revealed that her mother went through menopause when she was 43 – a piece of information that came as quite a bombshell to Alex, particularly as she never thought her age would affect her fertility.
We are delighted for Alex and Charlie and wish them the best of luck in their next chapter.
