However when newlyweds David and Hollie Smith from the UK decided to raise the bar for their nuptials, thousands of YouTubers agreed that they absolutely nailed it!
While footage of elaborate wedding routines is by no means rare. it's the public's reaction to this particular video which makes it so special.
Including their bridesmaids, best man and ushers in an incredibly well coordinated dance routine, the Smiths proved they knew how to make their wedding party stand out from the crowd.
Commenting on their decision to take a step away from the traditional first dance, Hollie said: "I just wanted to do something different and something a little more fun. I think our ushers and bridesmaids thought we were joking to begin with.I never in a million years thought it would get this far."
Having amassed over 176,000 hits since its upload mere days ago, Holly said: "The feedback we've received has been really positive and if it helps bring a smile to people's faces then it's well worth it."
