Breast tenderness and pain is a common symptom of pregnancy, and one that many women experience during the first trimester of pregnancy. However, as your body becomes used to the elevated hormone levels that caused so much chaos during your first three months of pregnancy, you may find that the tenderness vanishes. Your breasts may even seem to have normalised somewhat in size, although they will still grow as your milk ducts form, ready for your baby’s arrival.

The increased blood flow that was triggered by the hormones you produced when you first got pregnant will probably have normalised by the second trimester of your pregnancy, and although you may still have the odd pain, for the most part, your breasts probably won’t feel sore.
This is perfectly normal, and is no cause for concern. It’s not a sign that there’s anything wrong with your baby, and your breasts are still changing to get ready to feed your baby when he or she arrives.
