If you’re attempts to conceive have so far been proving unsuccessful, then another try tonight might do the trick.

According to statistics, 10.36pm on January 2 is the most common time of the year to conceive.

With September 26 being revealed as the most common birthday among Britons, experts have now dubbed today as ‘National Baby-Making Day’.

The research proved that while couples were much more likely to have sex over the festive period however, January 2 was the most popular as couples said they wanted to spend time together before heading back to work.

Speaking to over 2,100 couples, Channel Mum found that while only 23pc of them wanted to have Christmas-conceived babies, a whopping 71pc were likely to on January 2.

“’Tis the season to make babies,” said founder of Channel Mum, Siobhan Freegard.

“Conceiving a child over Christmas is magical and the ultimate festive present.

“After the turmoil of 2016 we expect a record National Baby-Making Day and a baby boom to follow this September.”
