The Real Housewives of Cheshire star has just welcomed her fourth child with husband Phil and had planned on filming it before he stepped in.

Tanya Bardsley says her husband was against her plans to let TV cameras have access to the birth and broadcast it on the hit ITV show.

“I would have loved for the birth to be filmed,” the reality star told The Daily Record.

And it seems the show’s producer was on board with the plan as well.

“My series producer Mike Swindells would’ve had GoPro cameras on my ankles and everything if he’s had his way but Phil wasn’t having it.”

The 31-year-old Stoke City player, Phil was quick to reject the producer’s suggestions, a decision that Tanya wasn’t going to argue with.

“I thought it would’ve been nice and then we’ve got the memory but Phil drew the line so that was that.

“Phil’s quite a private person while I’m an over-sharer. Anyway, I had to let him win on this one.”

The former FHM model is one of nine footballers’ wives who appear in the reality show which is heading into its fourth series and it seems like Phil is yet to get used to the whole thing.

“Phil is still a reluctant telly star but he’s fully supportive with me wanting to do it. I think when he finishes football, he might be more relaxed.

“You know what dressing rooms are like so I just don’t think he wants to put himself in that position.”

But it seems like her children Gabriella, 13, Rocco, seven, and Renz, three, have adapted to the camera crews.

“For the kids, the cameras are just the norm for them now. They just shout, ‘Film crew’s here’ and then they just get on with what they do.

“The crew have just become like family and friends because it’s been the same crew since we started.

“I think the kids think all mummies and daddies are followed by a film crew, especially the little ones.”
