A delicious and nutritious breakfast or pick me up recipe excellent all year round.
Vegetable oil, for greasing
160g rolled oats
1.4 ltr water
397g tin evaporated skim milk
1 banana, mashed
2 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
Brown sugar
Sliced bananas
Chopped pecans or walnuts
Mixed fruit, to serve
Grease slow cooker with vegetable oil
In a large bowl, stir together the oats, water, milk, banana, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour into the slow cooker
Cover, and cook on low for 6 hours.
To serve, top with brown sugar, sliced bananas, and chopped nuts and mixed fruit if you like.
