Beef stir fry
Simple dish that is quick and tasty - ideal for a family dinner.

500 g steak cut into strips

2 teaspoons for corn flour

5 tbs soy sauce

1 head of broccoli and 2 carrots

2 onions finely chopped

3 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped

1 clove of garlic finely chopped

1 tsp sugar

2 tbs dry sherry

Vegetable oil

Noodles or rice

Soak the beef  strips in 2 tbs of soy sauce mixed with corn flour for 10 minutes

Cook the noodles or rice in boiling water for 10 – 12 minutes

Heat 1 tbs of vegetable oil in a wok for 1 minute

Sauté the garlic, ginger and onion in the wok for 1 minute and then add the broccoli and carrots and cook for  3 minutes

Put aside the vegetables and heat 1 tbs vegetable oil in the wok

Stir fry the beef strips and soy sauce mixture for 4 – 5 minutes and then add the vegetable to the wok again and mix around

Mix the dry sherry with the sugar and remaining soy sauce and add this to the wok to cook for 1 minute

Serve with rice or noodles. If serving with noodles, stir the noodles into the beef stir fry for 1 minute and then serve.
