Beef stir-fry

Beef stir-fry
Stir-fries are extremely easy to whip up and you can add any vegetables that you like.

400g rice

1 tsp char siu sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tsp cracked black pepper

500g beef steak, thinly sliced

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 onion, cut into thin wedges

1 red pepper, sliced

1 green pepper, sliced

1 yellow pepper, sliced

1 red chilli, finely sliced

Cook the rice according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.

Combine the char siu sauce, soy sauce, garlic cloves and pepper in a bowl. Add the beef and coat in the mixture. Leave to marinade for 1 hour in the fridge.

Heat the oil in a wok on a medium temperature. Add the beef and cook for 5 minutes. When it is cooked, remove the beef and set it aside.

Add the rest of the oil and cook your onion until it is soft. Stir-fry the peppers and chilli for 2 minutes.

Return the beef to the pan and cook for a further minute.

Serve with the rice.
