Chocolate cream puffs

Chocolate cream puffs
Using homemade choux pastry, these chocolate cream puffs are irresistible.
 

113g butter

250ml water

Pinch salt

120g flour

4 eggs

Melting chocolate

Icing sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 220°C/ 425°F/ gas mark 7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Gently melt your butter in a saucepan on a medium heat. Pour in the water and salt.

Allow it to come to a boil before spooning in your flour. Cook for about 3 minutes.

Allow to cool before adding in your eggs. Make sure they are combined together well.

Spoon 1 teaspoons amounts of the dough onto the parchment paper until it is all used up.

Place in the oven for 30 minute or until golden.

While the puffs are baking, melt your chocolate over a pot of boiling water.

Remove the pastry puffs from the oven and leave to cool.

Gently cut them in half and fill the insides with the melted chocolate.

Dust with icing sugar before serving.
