Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Line a baking tin 30cm x 20cm with grease proof paper.

In a large bowl melt the margarine in a microwave. Then stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix together. Then add sift cocoa, sift flour, salt, and baking powder to mixture. Mix together well. Spread batter into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Do not overcook.

Decorate with smarties
