Not a typical dish to serve here, creamed corn originates in America but it goes pretty well with crispy chicken or steak.
120ml water
8 corn on the cobs, you can pick up fresh ones or pre-packaged as long as they aren’t frozen
115g double cream
30g butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to season
Heat the water over a medium heat.
Cut the corn kernels off the cob and add them into the water.
Cook on a medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Add the cream and butter and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Make sure you keep stirring it while it is cooking.
Season with salt and pepper before serving.
