Green beans and onion rings

Green beans and onion rings
This dish goes perfect with chicken or beef. The mushroom soup really adds to the flavour.

250ml cream of mushroom soup
300ml full fat milk
400g green beans

2 large onions, sliced

120g all-purpose flour

Oil for frying

Salt and pepper to season

Make the onion rings first.

Soak them in a bowl of milk while you heat the oil in a frying pan.

Coat the onion rings in the flour and place on the frying pan.

Cook until golden and set aside on a kitchen towel to drain off excess oil.

To make the beans.

Combine the beans with the chicken soup in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat until it is boiling. Reduce the temperature and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.

Pour the beans and soup into a serving dish and place the onion rings on top.

Serve.
