If there’s one way to kick off a Friday morning, it’s with some breath-taking photos of a very special birth moment – and that is exactly what we have this morning, courtesy of the Carraway family.

Dede and Zack Carraway recently welcomed a son, Cayson, into the world. Daughter Jacee Dellapenna, 12, was on hand to witness the miracle of life – but she didn’t just stand by to watch.

Incredible photos captured by the family show the moment that the 12-year-old scrubbed-up and helped to deliver her baby brother.

Jacee not only helped to catch little baby Cayson, but she also cut the cord – and the magic moments were all captured and shared to Facebook, for the world to see.

Proud mum Dede shared the first snap of an emotional Jacee holding newborn Cayson, with their doctor lending a helping hand.

The full set of images went viral after friend and singer Nikki Smith shared them to her own Facebook page.

“Meet Jacee! This 12-year-old helped deliver her baby brother, and the emotions on her face are too amazing not to share! You’re a superstar, Jacee!” she wrote.

Needless to say, the reaction to the gorgeous images has been totally heart-warming.

“This is the most amazing picture EVER! I love it! Congrats, y’all!” wrote a friend of the family.

Another chimed in: “They will forever have a special bond. I was the only one in the room when my mum had an unintended home birth with my baby sister, and we have a bond that is unbreakable. My daughter was also in the hospital room with me when I had my son.”

These photos certainly prove why having a camera in the delivery room can be such a good idea.

Last month, footage of a baby being ‘unwrapped’ from its amniotic sac was shared online, amazing people all over the world.

The baby was born en caul, a one-in-80,000 birth phenomenon.

In the black-and-white footage, the tot can be seen moving its limbs within the membrane of the sac. The doctor then carefully unwraps the thin film, peeling it back to allow the baby to take its first breath of life.

These photos have absolutely made our day. Be sure to share them with a fellow mum-to-be or new mum, to bring a smile to her face.
