Most of us would baulk at the idea of letting our kids into the delivery room to watch their brother or sister being born.

But some mums are more open to the idea of their first born being involved in the birthing process.

And while you might be wary of how young children would react to the 'miracle of life', they might just surprise you.

That's the message that these stunning photos convey.

Monet Nicole, an experienced birth photographer, happens to love when older siblings are present during childbirth and says that in her experience, most do remarkably well.

In fact, they often deal with the situation better than grown-ups!

Rather than getting all grossed out, these incredible older siblings-to-be were focused on soothing their mums and quietly taking in the astounding situation.

For many kids, witnessing their brother or sister being born is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and these exceptional snapshots capture exactly how meaningful it can be...

"I got ya"

"It's okay mum...and dad"

"Focus on something else, Mum. Look how pretty your necklace is!"

"I could totally be a nurse..."

"Okay, my turn, hand him over..."

"This is WAY cooler than dissecting a frog!"

"Yep, she's real...just checking"

"It's okay, I feel your pain"

"I can rescue you, just say the word"

"It's coming, you're nearly there"

"I can't believe you did it!"

"I love her already..."

"We're all in this together"
