Pregnancy is a wonderful, beautiful time in any woman’s life, and the changes to our bodies should be celebrated – we’re creating human life, for crying out loud!
This is why we – and so many other people – are so dumbfounded by American pregnant meteorologist Lauren Jones’ cause for celebration this weekend.
Lauren, who is only nine weeks off of her due date, presents the weather on Wave3, and it seems some of her viewers have been taken issue with her changing figure.
It all came to light yesterday, when co-anchor John Boel took to Facebook to share a beautiful photo of the glowing mum-to-be – with a concerning message.
We are celebrating today because Lauren has gone one week without someone saying something mean to her about baby weight gain. That's a new record. Big day is only 9 weeks away!

As you can imagine, Boel’s followers were outraged by the revelation, with one writing: “Someone actually was mean about her gaining weight because she is pregnant?!?! I’m sorry, but that’s called a moron. People are so idiotic. She looks fabulous!”
We kind of can’t believe it either. Thankfully, Boel’s post was met with nothing but concern and compliments to Lauren.
