What suncream is suitable for my big kid?

Big kids just want to be outside when the sun is shining, whether it’s playing football, riding a bike or splashing in the sea. Now that they’re at school, they will also be involved in lots more outdoor activities so it’s also important that you get them into the habit of applying sunscreen whenever they are exposed to the sun.

A young child’s delicate skin can easily suffer both short and long term damage from the sun in the form of sunburn and heat stroke and being sunburnt just once as a child can increase the chances of melanoma in later life. However, with Ambre Solaire Rapido SPF 30 you can be sure your child is in safe hands.

The sun is at its strongest between 10am and 4pm so during this time so it’s also important to follow these steps:
  • Encourage your child to stay in the shade, under a tree or umbrella but remember that even a child in the shade can get sunburned.
  • Dress your child in lightweight, light coloured clothing ensuring to cover arms and legs. A wide brimmed hat that covers the back of the neck and a brim wide enough to shade the face and UV protective sunglasses are also essential.
  • Sunscreen should be applied about 15 to 30 minutes before going outdoors and reapplied every two hours making sure to cover all areas of exposed skin. If your child’s skin gets wet, sunscreen should also be immediately reapplied once towel-dried.
Garnier has revolutionised its sun protection for children with Ambre Solaire Rapido SPF30. The application couldn’t be simpler, even upside down; it quickly reaches every inch of the body meaning children can easily apply it themselves.

Never has Garnier protected children so fast. Its unique formula containing patented Mexoryl® XL offers reliable protection against UVA/UVB rays. Its non greasy and non sticky texture doesn't leave white marks and resists water. The Mexoryl® filtration system works by absorbing UVA and UVB rays. They work in synergy together, resulting in really effective and reliable protection. Its formula is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and has been tested under paediatric control making this the perfect suncream for your big kid.
