When you are planning to travel with your child, make sure to prepare him for the things he is about to see. You can do this by showing him pictures of your future destination so that he can familiarise himself with it. Remember that the more you prepare your child for the things that will happen, the more secure he will feel when he is already faced with his new surroundings. As much as possible, try to let him wear new clothing and gear even before your vacation to make him feel comfortable.
To successfully travel with young kids, you should also take the comfort of your home to wherever it is that you are planning to go. Bring along his favourite book, pillow, favourite stuff toy and items that he usually uses when he is at home. Also, if it is your child's first time to travel, opt for a place where you do not have to often change the lodging so that your child is comfortable and can become familiar in their new surroundings.
