Looking for a healthy breakfast alternative for baby and family? Try this Baby Quinoa Porridge!
Simply serve with fruit or yoghurt for a tasty and fuelling family breakfast, to kick-start the day.
Serve with slices of fruit for dipping, for a tasty baby-led weaning meal your little one will love.
1 cup water or milk
1/3 cup quinoa flakes*
*Quinoa flakes can be hard to find but should be available in your local health food store.
** You can use regular quinoa here, too. Simply cook for 20 minutes at Step 2.
Pour the water or milk into a small saucepan. Place over medium heat, and bring to the boil.
Once boiling, add the quinoa flakes and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from the heat, stir, and leave to sit for 3 minutes before serving.
Serve with toppings of choice; we love berries, flaxseed and yoghurt.

- 7-8 months: Thicker purée with increased texture
- 8-9 months: Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
