Buttery green beans with shallots and toasted almonds

Make this year's green beans with a bit of flair and ease.
400g green beans
25g butter
3 shallots, finely chopped
50g toasted almond slices
Cook the green beans in boiling, salted water for 3-4 minutes, until just tender.
Drain and run under cool water.
This can be done the day before if you keep the beans covered in the fridge.
When dinner is about ready to eat, heat the butter in a large frying pan until foaming, add the shallots and cook for 4-5 minutes, until soft but not coloured.
Throw in the beans along with the almond slices and toss to coat.
Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through, then season.
