The healthier alternative to prepackaged cheesy popcorn.
2 tbsp olive oil
200g popping corn
400g cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp mustard (optional)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Pour your oil into a large saucepan on a medium to high heat.
Add your corn kernels and make sure they are all coated with the oil.
Cook for about 6 minutes or until they stop popping. Give the pan a little shake every now and then so they don’t stick to the bottom.
Remove from heat and sprinkle on a little, but not all, of your salt. Set aside.
In the same pan melt your cheese and pepper together about 5 minutes.
When melted pour over your popcorn and season with salt. Leave to cool before serving.
